More entrepreneurs are looking to get a piece of Mang Inasal's grilled chicken business as strong sales fuel interest in franchise deals with tycoon Tony Tan Caktiong’s Jollibee Group.

The brand, which operates more than 600 stores nationwide, recorded 13.2 percent growth in systemwide sales in the first half of 2026, building on a 15.6 percent increase for the whole of 2025.

“Mang Inasal’s sustained growth has continued to attract interest from prospective franchisees, reflecting confidence in the brand’s consumer appeal, nationwide relevance, and disciplined store model,” parent firm Jollibee Foods Corp. said in a statement on Monday.

“As it expands its network, the company continues to welcome qualified franchise partners who share its commitment to operational excellence, food quality, and a consistent customer experience,” it added.

Beyond dine-in

Takeout, delivery and drive-thru sales also grew at a double-digit pace, giving the chain more ways to reach customers beyond its restaurants.

“Our growth was driven primarily by our Ihaw-Sarap Chicken Inasal and Juicy-lambot Pork BBQ,” said Mang Inasal president Mike Castro, citing the grilled chicken and pork barbecue dishes behind its performance.

The company is improving its marination and grilling processes to maintain consistent food quality as its restaurant network grows.

A stronger brand

Mang Inasal also emerged as the Philippines' strongest quick-service restaurant brand in Brand Finance's 2026 rankings, scoring 95.2 out of 100 and earning an AAA+ rating.

Jollibee Group Philippines CEO Joseph Tanbuntiong said the parent company is supporting Mang Inasal's expansion through its supply chain, restaurant operations and franchise development capabilities.
