The deal was formalized in a contract signing attended by key executives from EEI, CIC, and Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC), the companies said in a statement released Friday morning.
EEI disclosed the receipt of CIC's letter of acceptance for the project in a report to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The project involves constructing a 1.2-kilometer, 2x2-lane carriageway linking the terminus of Segment 4 at Tirona Highway to Calax, including a toll admin compound and access road.
EEI president and CEO Henry Antonio expressed pride in the company's role in nation-building, highlighting the project’s significance in enhancing connectivity and economic growth.
The project, scheduled to be completed in 450 days, underscores EEI's expertise and commitment to infrastructure development.
