The new models are equipped with AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series processors capable of delivering up to 50 NPU TOPS of AI computing power, enabling Copilot+ PC experiences designed to improve productivity, collaboration, and multimedia performance.
The big picture
The launch reflects a broader industry push toward “AI PCs,” where machine learning tasks run directly on devices rather than the cloud.
ASUS is betting that users increasingly expect laptops to handle AI-assisted workflows such as video conferencing enhancements, automated productivity tools, and intelligent system optimization, the company said in a press statement.
Both Zenbook models combine dedicated neural processing power with thin-and-light designs, signaling ASUS’ effort to merge high performance with mobility for hybrid work and study environments, it said.
What ASUS launched
The flagship Zenbook S16 is designed for users who want a larger display without the bulk typically associated with big-screen laptops.
The device measures just 1.1 centimeters thick and weighs about 1.5 kilograms, making it one of the thinnest large-screen Zenbooks released by the company. It features an AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 processor, AMD Radeon graphics, 32GB LPDDR5X memory, and a 1TB SSD.
ASUS also highlights the laptop’s Ceraluminum chassis, a ceramic-aluminum composite material engineered for durability and scratch resistance while maintaining a lightweight feel.
Meanwhile, the Zenbook 14 targets ultra-portability, weighing about 1.2 kilograms and measuring 14.9 millimeters thin. It runs on an AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 processor paired with 16GB LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB SSD.
Display and AI features
Both devices feature ASUS Lumina OLED displays designed for high color accuracy and smooth visuals. The Zenbook S16 includes a 16-inch 3K OLED touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Zenbook 14 carries a 14-inch WUXGA OLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio.
The laptops also incorporate AI-driven capabilities such as automatic camera framing, noise cancelation, eye contact correction, and Windows Copilot integration for faster workflows.
By the numbers
The Zenbook S16 carries a suggested retail price of P134,995, while the Zenbook 14 starts at P79,995 in the Philippine market.
Each purchase includes Office 2024 Home, a one-year Microsoft 365 Basic subscription with cloud storage, and ASUS’ two-year international warranty with accidental damage protection.
