  • Its GrowBiz Loan offers qualified medium enterprises up to P100 million, five times the ceiling of its existing real estate mortgage loan
  • Asialink aims to release P28 billion through GrowBiz by end-2026 while targeting P2 billion in net income for the year

Asialink Finance Corp. is betting that growing Philippine companies need bigger and longer-term financing as their capital requirements move beyond conventional SME loan products and traditional bank credit processes.

The financing company has introduced its GrowBiz Loan for qualified medium enterprises, offering up to P100 million with repayment terms of as long as seven years. That compares with Asialink's existing Real Estate Mortgage Loan, which provides up to P20 million over a maximum of five years.

Larger-ticket financing

The product pushes Asialink into larger-ticket financing and targets established businesses seeking funding for capital-intensive expansion but facing strict requirements and lengthy credit processes from traditional banks.

GrowBiz financing can be used for expansion, working capital, inventory, vehicles and equipment, as well as additional locations. Negotiable rates start at 0.75 percent, while final amounts, pricing and terms depend on financing needs, business capacity and credit profile.

Loans may be secured by real estate or fleets of cars and trucks and will undergo credit evaluation appropriate to the larger amounts.

Growth journey

Asialink released about P27 billion in loans and served more than 53,000 micro, small and medium enterprise (MSMEs) borrowers from 2024 through July 2026.

Its loan portfolio reached about P26 billion as of July, up 23 percent year on year, with business and MSME loans making up 54 percent of the portfolio.

“Medium enterprises are at a pivotal stage in their growth journey. They have the ambition, track record, and opportunities to scale, but realizing that potential often requires financing that can move at the pace of their business. With GrowBiz, we aim to be a trusted partner that understands where businesses want to go and helps them get there,” Asialink Finance Corporation president and CEO Anna Katrina C. Bañez said in a press statement.

Year-end targets

Asialink targets P28 billion in GrowBiz releases by year-end and P2 billion in 2026 net income. As of August, the company had more than 255 branches and approximately 2,632 employees nationwide. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
