Asialink Finance Corp. (AFC) is strengthening its position in the Philippine business financing market as growing demand from entrepreneurs and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) drives the expansion of its lending portfolio.

The financing company released more than P13 billion in loans from January to September 2026, while its total loan portfolio grew 20 percent year-on-year to approximately P26.9 billion.

Funds for operations, expansion

Business and MSME loans now account for more than 55 percent of AFC's portfolio, reflecting the company's increasing focus on financing enterprises seeking capital to sustain operations and pursue expansion.

AFC served 14,926 MSME clients during the first nine months of 2026. Between January 2024 and September 2026, it released about P29 billion in loans to more than 57,000 businesses and MSME borrowers nationwide.

AFC recorded its highest monthly loan releases in July 2026 at P1.73 billion. Monthly releases consistently exceeded P1.2 billion during the nine-month period, bringing the average to P1.45 billion from P1.36 billion a year earlier.

Car refinancing generated the largest loan releases at P4.32 billion, followed by second-hand car financing at P4.17 billion and truck refinancing at P1.52 billion.

Moving into medium-enterprise financing

“Our loan releases reflect the financing needs we continue to see across the market. As businesses grow, their financing requirements also evolve, and we continue to expand our solutions to meet those needs while maintaining disciplined and responsible lending,” Asialink Finance Corporation president and CEO Anna Katrina C. Bañez said in a press statement.

AFC is moving further into medium-enterprise financing through its recently launched GrowBiz Loan, which offers qualified businesses up to P100 million for expansion, equipment purchases, inventory, working capital, and new locations.

The initiative broadens AFC's financing reach beyond smaller enterprises, allowing it to serve businesses with larger capital requirements as they scale operations.

More than 255 branches nationwide

AFC aims to strengthen its business-lending operations while maintaining responsible portfolio growth.

With more than 255 branches nationwide and over 2,600 employees as of September 2026, the company is positioning its distribution network to support entrepreneurs and growing enterprises across the Philippines. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
