DTI sets up Youth Enterprise Fund for young entrepreneurs

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through its financing arm Small Business Corp. (SBCorp), has launched the Youth Enterprise Fund (YEF), offering loans of up to P500,000 to help young Filipinos start or expand their businesses.

The financing program targets entrepreneurs aged 18 to 30, providing loans ranging from P30,000 to P500,000. Borrowers may repay the loans over a maximum of three years, with flexible grace periods of zero, three, six, nine or 12 months.

How to apply

Applicants must submit a valid government-issued ID, a mayor's business permit, proof of a bank account, applicable corporate documents and a business plan outlining the proposed project.

Applications will open July 27 through the official SBCorp mobile app, available on Google Play and Huawei AppGallery.

Interested borrowers may also visit sbcorp.gov.ph or seek assistance from any of the DTI's 18 regional offices and more than 1,600 Negosyo Centers nationwide for information on eligibility and application requirements. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
