‘Affordable, durable’ Next Gen Tamaraw seen to solidify Toyota's mass market grip

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) officially introduced on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, the Next Generation Tamaraw, reviving the iconic commercial vehicle known for durability and reliability.

Manufactured locally in Santa Rosa, Laguna, the Tamaraw targets businesses and individuals needing customizable transportation solutions.

Starting at P937,000 for the base model, the Tamaraw offers diesel and gas variants. A forthcoming gas-powered version will be priced below P800,000.

The top-tier diesel model costs P1,075,000, featuring advanced safety systems like anti-lock brakes and airbags.

The vehicle supports multiple configurations, including dropside, utility van, and aluminum cargo models.

TMP also showcased additional options, such as ambulances and food trucks, developed in partnership with Toyota Mobility Solutions Philippines.

Customers can take advantage of flexible financing plans, including low downpayments and weekly payment options. TMP also offers a fixed service discount voucher for periodic maintenance.

The Next Generation Tamaraw represents TMP’s dedication to providing cost-effective solutions for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), which dominate the local automotive commercial segment, the company said.
