The launch marked the comeback of the iconic Tamaraw, now redesigned to meet the evolving needs of Filipinos.
TMP president Masando Hashimoto emphasized customer feedback in shaping the vehicle.
“We sat down with potential customers to understand what they look for in the Tamaraw,” Hashimoto said, adding that the vehicle retains the DNA of its predecessors while integrating modern versatility.
The Next Generation Tamaraw is available in diesel and gas variants, catering to diverse needs. It features multiple body configurations, including long wheelbase dropside and utility van variants set for retail in January 2025.
TMP also showcased special conversions like ambulances, food trucks, and mobile service vehicles.
Danny Cruz, TMP first vice president for vehicle sales operations, highlighted the Tamaraw’s adaptability, calling it “a solution to mobility challenges” for businesses and individuals.
TMP offers competitive pricing, with models starting at P937,000. A gas-powered variant priced below P800,000 is also planned.
Toyota Financial Services Philippines is supporting the new line with flexible payment and insurance options, ensuring accessibility for small businesses and local government units.
