Located on the second floor of the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center along Alunan Avenue, the new SEC office will provide easier access to essential services for businesses and investors in the SOCCSKSARGEN Region.
Strategically situated in one of the fastest-growing regions in the country, the Koronadal extension will streamline processes such as company registration and compliance monitoring.
It also offers educational activities aimed at raising investor awareness.
Businesses in SOCCSKSARGEN, a key player in agriculture, fishing, manufacturing, and trade, will no longer need to travel to Davao City to complete SEC-related transactions.
"The Koronadal Extension Office is our fifth in Mindanao, bringing us closer to our goal of supporting growing business hubs across the country," SEC Chairperson Emilio B. Aquino said in a statement.
The office aims to foster stronger collaboration with local government units and promote economic policies that encourage entrepreneurship.
It is the SEC's 12th extension office in the Philippines, and the second to open this year after the inauguration of the Butuan extension office in March 2024.
The 10 other SEC extension offices are located in Baguio, Tarlac, Legazpi, Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo, Tacloban, Zamboanga, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro.
