Joining the 15-member board is former PSE director Edgardo Lacson, who was elected during the annual stockholders’ meeting as non-broker director representing other market participants.
Lacson, chairman of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines, brings extensive experience, having previously served on the PSE board from 2011 to 2021.
The board composition includes one president-director, five broker directors, and nine non-broker directors. Among the non-broker directors, five are independent directors, and four representing issuers, investors, and other market participants.
Reelected non-broker directors are Ferdinand Constantino and Jose Arnulfo Veloso, representing investors, and Atty. Marilyn Victorio-Aquino, representing issuers.
Apart form Pardo, other reelected independent directors are retired Chief Justice Teresita Leonardo-De Castro), Peter Favila, Andrew Jerome Gan, and Vicente Panlilio.
Broker directors renewing their mandates are Diosdado Arroyo, Eddie Gobing, Wilson Sy, Anthony Te, and Ma. Vivian Yuchengco.
Ramon Monzon will continue as the stock exchange’s president and CEO.
Pardo, also the chair and founder of 7-Eleven Philippines, highlighted the board’s commitment to regulatory reforms.
“I am pleased to be working once again with esteemed colleagues in the board,” he said in a statement. “They have been instrumental in pursuing regulatory reforms and programs for the stock market and its stakeholders to bring PSE closer to its vision.”
