Under the latest collaboration, MSpectrum will install a 600-kilowatt peak (kWp) solar rooftop system at Landers Cebu, projected to generate 960,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of renewable energy annually.
This installation will offset 683.71 metric tons of carbon emissions per year—equivalent to planting over 31,000 trees or reducing more than 2.72 million kilometers in vehicle travel.
In addition, MSpectrum will roll out a 930-kWp solar rooftop system at Landers Fairview, expected to produce 1.19 million kWh of clean electricity per year. The project will help slash 845.95 metric tons of carbon emissions annually, equating to 38,000 trees planted or 3.37 million fewer kilometers in car travel.
“We’re proud to partner with MSpectrum as we take meaningful steps toward becoming more environmentally responsible,” said Pieter Dhoni Lukman, chief operating officer of Southeast Asia Retail. “This initiative is about more than operational savings—it’s a key part of our long-term sustainability goals.”
Lukman said Landers’ mission now includes a green agenda: “Beyond offering premium products, we’re committing to cleaner, greener operations powered by renewable energy.”
This move reinforces the long-standing partnership between MSpectrum and Southeast Asia Retail. In the past year, MSpectrum has equipped several Landers branches with rooftop solar panels, demonstrating both companies’ joint commitment to clean energy.
“MSpectrum is proud to support Landers’ shift to solar energy,” said Ma. Cecilia M. Domingo, MSpectrum president and CEO. “These new projects will further reduce carbon emissions, optimize power use, and deliver significant savings that Landers can channel into customer service and operational improvements.” —Ed: Corrie S.
