Insider Spotlight
The quick-service restaurant chain is introducing Sweet BBQ Chicken McDo and three holiday McFlurry flavors starting Nov. 3, extending its “McDo Muna” campaign through products designed around Filipino holiday preferences.
Seasonal menu offerings allow McDonald’s to create additional purchasing occasions while reinforcing its presence in the country’s competitive quick-service restaurant market.
The initiative builds on the company’s strategy of positioning its restaurants as convenient stops for customers seeking affordable meals and desserts amid holiday activities.
New holiday menu
The Sweet BBQ Chicken McDo features fried bone-in chicken coated in a sweet, tangy and smoky barbecue glaze.
The dessert lineup includes Ube with Oreo, combining ube-flavored syrup and crushed Oreo pieces, and Choco Pinipig, featuring milk chocolate and Filipino-style crunchy rice crispies.
A Durian McFlurry, made with a white chocolate-based durian-flavored mix-in, will be available exclusively in Mindanao stores.
“Christmas is full of big celebrations, but some of the season’s most meaningful and fun moments happen in the in-between. With our holiday Chicken McDo and holiday McFlurry flavors, we’re giving everyone another way to enjoy a little treat during the Christmas rush, whether they’re taking a break from errands or sharing a moment with loved ones. It’s one more way to make McDo Muna part of their holiday season,” McDonald’s Philippines senior brand manager NJ Caballar-Azurin said in a press statement.
