Insider Spotlight
The company disclosed on Thursday, June 11, 2026, that the 680-room Hotel101-Madrid reached 100 percent occupancy on June 10, its third month since opening on March 10, with all rooms sold out before the close of the day. The hotel has also recorded several full-occupancy performances in recent weeks, reflecting sustained demand for the property.
Why it matters
The performance of Hotel101-Madrid serves as a key test case for DoubleDragon’s ambition to transform Hotel101 into a globally scalable hospitality brand.
According to the company, the Madrid property generated more than $2.3 million, or about P141 million, in recurring room revenues over the past 30 days alone. Daily revenues on June 10 exceeded $100,000 and continued to trend higher than during the hotel’s first month of operations.
DoubleDragon noted that high occupancy has already become a recurring trend in its domestic properties, including the 518-room Hotel101-Manila and the 606-room Hotel101-Fort, with Madrid now showing similar performance.
The bigger picture
The company said the Madrid property represents the fully tested “global prototype” for the Hotel101 concept, which it believes is now ready for large-scale international rollout.
“This latest extraordinary performance of Hotel101’s global prototype further positively reinforces DoubleDragon Corporation’s overall outlook and strong conviction towards its set DD Vision 2035,” DoubleDragon/Hotel101 founder Edgar Injap Sia II said.
The company is targeting the opening of 2,229 additional hotel rooms in 2026, including projects in Davao, Cebu and Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan. It also reiterated its long-term goal of building 1 million rooms across 100 countries and becoming the world’s largest single-brand hotel chain.
What’s next
DoubleDragon expects Hotel101’s international expansion to become a significant source of US dollar revenues while supporting its broader Vision 2035 plan, which aims to grow annual revenues from P27.9 billion in 2025 to P500 billion by 2035. —Daxim L. Lucas| Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
