Herbalife Philippines has partnered with HyveSports and Women’s Fitness Asia in a year-long collaboration aimed at expanding access to fitness activities across the country through large-scale running and wellness events.

The partnership aligns with Herbalife’s strategy of strengthening its presence in community-driven fitness initiatives while supporting Filipinos looking to adopt healthier lifestyles. The companies said the initiative will focus on making fitness activities more accessible and engaging for everyday consumers.

“We see more people looking for ways to stay active, but consistency is often the challenge,” Kinki Lau, general manager of Herbalife Philippines, said in a press statement.

“Through this partnership, we aim to support communities across the country by making fitness more accessible, engaging and be part of everyday life. By connecting with people through large-scale events like this, we can help inspire consistency and empower more individuals to stay active over the long term,” Lau added.

The partnership was officially announced during the return of The Music Run Manila 2026 at Filinvest City Events Grounds in Alabang. More than 4,000 runners will be joining the 5K and 10K races, which combine music, movement and entertainment through DJ-powered race zones and a post-run festival experience. | Contributed photo

Why it matters

The Philippine fitness and wellness sector has seen growing participation in community-based events such as fun runs, triathlons and wellness festivals as more consumers prioritize health and active lifestyles after the pandemic.

For Herbalife, the collaboration provides a platform to engage directly with consumers through experiential events while promoting nutrition, hydration and recovery products tied to active living.

The partnership was formally announced during The Music Run Manila 2026 held at the Filinvest City Events Grounds in Alabang. Organizers said more than 4,000 runners participated in the event’s 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer races, which combined music-themed race zones with a post-run entertainment festival.

As part of the activation, Herbalife operated on-site hydration and nutrition booths that offered product sampling, shakes and wellness activities for participants throughout the event.

Between the lines

HyveSports and Women’s Fitness Asia said the collaboration could help broaden participation in fitness events beyond traditional athletic communities.

“At HyveSports, our goal has always been to get more people moving in a way that feels fun and inclusive,” said Julius Em, CEO of HyveSports.

“With Herbalife, we can take that even further by supporting Filipinos not just during events, but throughout their fitness journey. Together, we’re making it easier for more communities to stay active," he added.

The partnership will also support other large-scale events throughout 2026, including the ColorFest Carnival Run, Electric Night Run and Trifactor and Amazon races for triathlon and duathlon participants.

Organizers expect the events to draw tens of thousands of participants nationwide as fitness communities continue to grow across the Philippines. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
