Kinetix broadens The Podium fitness mix with group training

Insider Spotlight

  • Kinetix Strength Studio is positioning coach-led group strength training as a community-centered alternative to individual workouts
  • The studio expands Strength in Movement Group’s cluster of four fitness and wellness concepts at The Podium
  • Its strategy centers on turning individual effort into collective energy, reflecting a broader push toward socially engaging fitness experiences

The fitness concept behind Kinetix Strength Studio is betting that strength training can become more engaging when treated as a shared experience, combining structured coaching with group participation as consumers seek more community-driven approaches to movement and wellness.

The studio is set to officially open on Oct. 13 at Level 4 of The Podium in Mandaluyong City. Ahead of the opening, it held trial classes, a soft opening and blessing on Sept. 21 attended by members, fitness enthusiasts, partners, creators and representatives from several organizations.

Coach-led sessions

Kinetix Strength Studio adds a dedicated group strength format to Strength in Movement Group’s portfolio at The Podium. It becomes the group’s fourth brand in the mall, alongside Kinetix Lab, Kinetix Kids and Polarity Wellness Club.

The concept is built around coach-led sessions where participants tackle strength exercises, stations and intervals together. Its positioning emphasizes the role of a group in sustaining effort through demanding portions of a workout rather than framing strength training solely as an individual pursuit.

Communal strength training

The addition gives Strength in Movement Group a broader set of offerings spanning different approaches to fitness and wellness within one location. Kinetix Strength Studio specifically focuses that strategy on communal strength training.

The Sept. 21 gathering also drew representatives from MariBank and Ogilvy Manila, as well as executives from SM Supermalls, the University of Asia and the Pacific and Singapore Diagnostics.
