In newly launched video collaborations, Curtis shared how her perspective on fitness evolved from chasing a certain image to prioritizing strength, consistency, and everyday movement.
“The moment I stopped trying to look a certain way and started moving to stay strong for the people I love, everything became easier,” Curtis said. “It's not about the pace or the distance. It's about showing up, both for yourself and for them.”
The campaign, detailed in a company release, forms part of Manulife Philippines’ push to promote preventive healthcare and healthier lifestyles through its ManulifeMOVE wellness platform.
The big picture
ManulifeMOVE is designed to help customers build healthier routines gradually, whether through regular exercise, better nutrition, or more mindful daily choices.
The program also provides wellness insights, discounted health services, and access to Manulife’s health and life insurance offerings covering critical illness and recovery support.
Curtis, who has been a Manulife customer since 2009, said meaningful acts of care are often found in small, repeated actions.
One campaign video released during Mother’s Day featured her daughter Dahlia Amélie preparing a tomato-and-cheese toastie with help from her husband, chef and content creator Erwan Heussaff.
“The people who are always there for us—those are the ones we trust with everything. The big things and the small things. It's the same reason we trust Manulife to take care of what matters most. MOVE for the people who show up for you every day,” Curtis said.
Why it matters
Manulife Philippines president and chief executive officer Rahul Hora said the initiative aligns with the insurer’s broader longevity strategy focused on helping people live healthier and more financially secure lives.
“Longevity is about living more years with strength, independence, and confidence, not simply adding years to life,” Hora said.
He added that improving long-term health does not require dramatic lifestyle changes overnight.
“What matters is choosing to start and having the support to keep going,” Hora said.
Manulife said the wellness platform also supports the goals of the Manulife Longevity Institute, a global initiative backed by a $350-million commitment aimed at promoting healthier and financially resilient aging populations by 2030. —Princess Daisy C. Ominga | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
