GMA Network appoints Cheryl Ching-Sy to lead entertainment group

Television broadcast giant GMA Network is ushering in a new era in its Entertainment Group with the appointment of Cheryl Ching-Sy as officer-in-charge, effective March 1, 2025.

 Her promotion follows the retirement of Lilybeth G. Rasonable, who served for over two decades as senior vice president for entertainment.

Ching-Sy, a highly respected leader, will oversee key projects, including the GMA Prime program Mga Batang Riles, Afternoon Prime titles Binibining Marikit, Prinsesa ng City Jail, Mommy Dearest, and the much-anticipated Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre set to air in 2025.

She will continue her role as vice president for drama, where she has played a pivotal role in hits like Voltes V: Legacy, Maria Clara at Ibarra, and 2024’s most significant Philippine TV series, Pulang Araw. 

She also led top-rating afternoon dramas like Abot-Kamay na Pangarap, Lilet Matias: Attorney-At-Law, and the GMA Prime hit Widows’ War.
