Globe’s data center unit shifts to 100% renewable energy for operations

ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) Philippines has successfully transitioned to 100% renewable energy for all its operational data centers in the country. This move aligns with the company’s commitment to achieving carbon-neutral operations by 2030 and supports Globe’s science-based net-zero targets.

The transition was made possible through strategic partnerships with Retail Electricity Suppliers (RES) that provide renewable energy or equivalent renewable energy certificates. Additionally, STT GDC Philippines has integrated innovative energy solutions, including rooftop solar installations for electric vehicle (EV) charging and the use of EVs in its operations.
