As communications firms compete for talent equipped with strategic, digital, and creative skills, COMCO Mundo is reinforcing its investment in workforce development through a new round of its flagship mentorship and apprenticeship program.

The global communications group has opened nationwide applications for Cycle 24 of Camp COMCO, its flagship initiative under the COMCO School of Communications, as part of the company's year-long Decada de COMCO celebration marking its 10th anniversary. 

The program offers students and fresh graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises, the company said in a release.

Why it matters

Communications agencies are placing greater emphasis on developing professionals who can navigate an evolving media landscape, integrated campaigns, and digital-first storytelling, prompting more structured investments in industry training and mentorship.

The details

Camp COMCO is open to students and fresh graduates of Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Multimedia Arts, and related disciplines. 

Participants undergo mentorship, industry immersion, and practical work across COMCO Mundo's agencies and affiliated organizations before culminating their apprenticeship in the House Wars pitch competition, where they develop communications solutions for actual brands and projects.

Since its inception, the program has produced 157 graduates, with alumni joining COMCO Mundo and other organizations across the communications, marketing, and creative industries. 

Camp COMCO has also earned recognition through the International Association of Business Communicators' Global Gold Quill Award, Asia-Pacific Silver Quill Award, Philippine Quill Awards, and the Gold Anvil Awards for its communications training initiatives.
