The Lopez family-led energy giant First Gen Corp. has awarded its international liquefied natural gas (LNG) tender to TG Global Trading Co., or Tokyo Gas, helping ensure energy security.
Tokyo Gas will provide an LNG delivery of approximately 125,000 cubic meters, which will be delivered next month to First Gen Singapore on a delivered ex ship (DES) basis.
This will be unloaded into storage tanks of the BW Batangas floating storage and regasification unit, the company said in a stock exchange filing on Thursday.
The LNG will be utilized by FGEN’s existing gas-fired power plants located in Batangas, which have a combined capacity of 2,017 megawatts.
