After winning the property in 2016, the group has redeveloped the sprawling 200-hectare estate, including its 36-hole golf course spread across 130 hectares, said to be one of the largest in the country.
“This event also reaffirms our strong commitment to park. We believe in this region’s potential, and we have a lot more planned here,” business tycoon Jonathan Gotianun, the chair of the family conglomerate Filinvest Development Corp., said during Friday’s formal launch of night golf at Mimosa Plus.
“What’s certain is that we see Clark as a key driver of economic growth, tourism, and innovation. And we’re really, really excited to be part of that journey,” he added.
New projects planned
Francis Gotianun, who heads the Filinvest Group’s hospitality division, said they’re planning to open a new mall and hotel in the estate after converting the old Holiday Inn into a Quest Plus hotel and conference center.
A new shopping mall, Filinvest Malls Mimosa with around 21,000 square meters of gross leasable area, will open in the latter part of 2025.
They will also build a nearly 400-room Crimson Clark Hotel in the area. The Crimson and Quest hotels are homegrown brands of Filinvest.
Beyond Clark, the younger Gotianun shared they will open their first hotel in Baguio—Grafik Hotel—also in 2025. Renovations at their Crimson Hotel in Mactan, Cebu are also underway, after upgrades at its Japanese and Spanish restaurants.
Friday’s event featured a ceremonial tee-off and golf tournament, where Filinvest president and CEO Rhoda Huang underscored the group’s long-term vision for Clark.
“Mimosa Plus represents our vision for Clark—a place where business, leisure, and sustainable development converge to create lasting value for Filipinos. As we light up the fairways tonight, we also reaffirm our commitment to shaping Clark into a world-class destination that drives employment, investments, and economic opportunities,” said Huang during the ceremonial tee-off.
Apart from the redeveloped golf course, Mimosa Golf Plus features a 48-bay Golf Academy, Work Plus, Bay 49, Baker J, and RARE Bar & Grill.
