The fiber broadband provider said it is highlighting how its expanding digital ecosystem—from nationwide fiber networks and international subsea cable systems to data centers and managed services—can support businesses and government agencies as the region accelerates toward an increasingly connected, AI-driven economy.
Digital Backbone
Representing Converge at the regional summit are global business group for sales and marketing head Grace Jarin-Castillo and SME group head Dindo Marzan, who will discuss the role of digital infrastructure in strengthening enterprises and advancing ASEAN's digital economy.
Jarin-Castillo will deliver a presentation titled "Beyond the Fiber: Architecting the Digital Backbone for ASEAN's Next Tech Wave," focusing on how connectivity has evolved beyond traditional broadband into intelligent infrastructure capable of supporting artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, cybersecurity and data-intensive applications across borders.
"Our digital economy is entering a new era where connectivity alone is no longer enough. Businesses now require an integrated technology ecosystem that combines resilient networks, cloud, cybersecurity, data centers, and managed services. As Converge evolves into a techco, we're building the digital backbone that will enable ASEAN's next generation of innovation," she said.
SME focus
Marzan, meanwhile, will participate in a panel discussion on "The Digital Supply Chain: Powering SMEs and the Economy Behind the Digital Economy," where he will highlight how affordable enterprise-grade connectivity and digital business solutions can help micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) participate more competitively in digital supply chains.
He said many Filipino MSMEs are only beginning their digital transformation journey despite accounting for the overwhelming majority of businesses in the country.
"MSMEs account for the overwhelming majority of businesses in the Philippines, yet many are still taking their first steps toward digitalization. Our role goes beyond providing internet access—we're helping businesses embrace digital tools that improve productivity, strengthen competitiveness, and unlock new growth opportunities," Marzan said.
Converge said the discussions reinforce its strategy of expanding beyond telecommunications into a broader technology company offering integrated digital services for organizations ranging from small neighborhood businesses to multinational corporations.
Growing ecosystem
The company said its digital infrastructure now includes one of the country's largest domestic fiber networks, strategically positioned international subsea cable systems linking the Philippines to major global digital hubs, and a growing portfolio of data center, cloud, cybersecurity and enterprise technology solutions.
These assets are designed to meet increasing demand for cloud services, AI workloads, digital finance platforms and other mission-critical enterprise applications as organizations modernize their operations.
Beyond participating in conference discussions, Converge is also showcasing its enterprise offerings through an interactive exhibit featuring connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity, managed services and digital transformation solutions tailored for both MSMEs and large enterprises.
Regional platform
Co-presented by Converge and organized by FinTech Alliance.PH together with Southeast Asian fintech and innovation organizations in partnership with the ASEAN Business Advisory Council Philippines, the ASEAN Tech Summit Manila 2026 gathers policymakers, regulators, technology companies, investors and business leaders from across the region.
The two-day summit, being held from July 28 to 29 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom during the Philippines' ASEAN Chairmanship, focuses on advancing regional priorities in digital inclusion, cross-border innovation, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, fintech and economic integration.
"As ASEAN's digital economy enters its next phase of growth, resilient digital infrastructure will be the foundation upon which innovation is built," Jarin-Castillo said.
