The company, which operates BingoPlus, ArenaPlus and GameZone, received a 2-Golden Arrow Award for the second consecutive year from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) during a ceremony held on Oct. 23 at Makati Shangri-La.
The recognition was based on the 2025 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) assessment, which evaluates publicly listed companies against established governance standards.
Why it matters
As DigiPlus expands its digital entertainment platforms, stronger governance and disclosure practices are becoming increasingly important in maintaining investor confidence and managing business risks.
The ICD, which serves as the Philippines' domestic ranking body for the ACGS, recognizes companies demonstrating accountability, transparency and responsible leadership.
“Receiving the Golden Arrow Award for the second consecutive year reflects the progress DigiPlus has made in strengthening its corporate governance practices,” said DigiPlus president Ping Chen.
“As we continue to evolve our business, we remain focused on building stakeholder trust and creating long-term value through responsible leadership and sustainable growth.”
Bigger picture
Since 2023, DigiPlus has published annual integrated reports covering its financial performance, sustainability initiatives and environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks.
Its latest 2025 Integrated Report establishes baseline environmental metrics, including energy consumption and Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions.
The report also identifies climate-related risks and opportunities that could affect the company's operations and long-term performance.
What to watch
DigiPlus' reporting framework incorporates internationally recognized standards, including those of the Global Reporting Initiative and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board.
These disclosures provide stakeholders with a basis for assessing the company's governance, environmental performance and progress toward sustainable growth. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
