UnionBank president and CEO Ana Maria Aboitiz Delgado has been named among Fortune Magazine’s 100 Most Powerful Women in Asia for 2025, a recognition that spotlights her role in driving the bank’s digital transformation and client-focused growth.

She joins fellow business leaders Martha Sazon of GCash, Lourdes T. Gutierrez-Alfonso of Megaworld Corp., Anna Maria Margarita Bautista Dy of Ayala Land, and Lynette V. Ortiz of Land Bank of the Philippines.

“UnionBank is proud of the inclusion of its president and CEO in Fortune's Most Powerful Women in Business 2025,” the banking giant said in a statement.

After 17 years at UnionBank, Delgado took the helm as president and CEO in January 2025, succeeding Edwin Bautista. A fifth-generation Aboitiz, she began her banking career at Citibank before joining UnionBank in 2003, according to Fortune Magazine.

“This recognition reflects her visionary leadership, commitment to innovation, and dedication to client-centric service—hallmarks of UnionBank’s aspiration to be the Philippines’ leading next-gen bank,” UnionBank said.

“Ana’s presence on this global list affirms her role in shaping the future of banking not only in the Philippines, but across the region for generations to come,” it added.
