During the summit, hosted by US President Joe Biden for Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in Washington, D.C., discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in infrastructure, semiconductors, cybersecurity, and renewable energy, promising significant economic benefits and job creation for the Philippines.

Recto highlighted this as a cornerstone of national security, signaling “countless” opportunities through collaboration with global economic leaders, the US, and Japan, to advance peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific and beyond.
