SSS raises Century Properties stake to nearly 10% amid affordable housing push

The Social Security System now owns nearly 10 percent of Century Properties Group after increasing its stake in the Antonio-led developer, backing a company that has expanded beyond its luxury roots into affordable housing.

The state pension fund raised its ownership to about 9.9 percent from 6.4 percent through an additional purchase of common shares via a block sale on the Philippine Stock Exchange, a regulatory filing on Wednesday showed.

SSS first invested in CPG in July 2025 and said the latest purchase reflects confidence in the company’s fundamentals, governance, dividend profile and long-term value creation strategy.

Once known primarily for upscale residential developments, Century has in recent years broadened its business through PHirst, its affordable housing platform, alongside its premium residential portfolio, which includes the Trump Tower Philippines in Makati City.

Last month, Century declared a cash dividend equivalent to 20 percent of its 2025 consolidated net income after doubling its minimum payout policy from 10 percent beginning in 2025.

CPG president and CEO Marco Antonio said SSS’s increased investment recognizes the company’s long-term strategy, financial discipline and commitment to delivering sustainable shareholder returns.
