SEC opens helpdesk for faster service, greater public access

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has launched a Public Assistance and Complaints Desk (PACD) at its headquarters in Makati to improve transparency, efficiency and stakeholder engagement.

Located on the ground floor of the SEC building, the PACD officially opened on July 1 and is designed to handle on-site client inquiries, feedback, and complaints. It aims to provide timely assistance and facilitate public consultations in line with standards set by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA).

“The opening of PACD demonstrates the Commission’s commitment to advancing the ease of doing business in the Philippines as we provide the public with greater transparency and access to our services,” said SEC Chair Francis Lim.

“Vital in earning the public’s trust and confidence in the SEC is the provision of quality and faster services. As we directly engage with clients through the helpdesk, we hope to encourage more businesses to register with the SEC and tap the capital market for growth,” he added.

The initiative complies with Republic Act No. 11032, or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018. The law mandates all government agencies to establish a PACD for frontline consultations and customer service.

The PACD will remain operational even during lunch breaks. It also offers special lanes for senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities.

In addition to the physical helpdesk, the public may reach the Commission through its call center at 02-5322-7696 or by emailing relevant SEC departments. Inquiries may also be submitted online via imessagemo.sec.gov.ph—Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
