Enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) is moving beyond basic assistance toward automating business processes, as Salesforce reported a 21-fold increase in Agentforce Coworker usage over three months.

More than 185,000 users are now using the platform, which allows employees to delegate business tasks to AI agents while maintaining access to company data, established workflows and security controls.

Salesforce is expanding Agentforce Coworker with new integrations, reusable workflows and cross-device capabilities as businesses seek to embed AI into daily operations.

‘Next era of enterprise AI’

The growing adoption reflects a shift in enterprise AI from generating information to coordinating tasks across multiple business systems.

Agentforce Coworker can analyze customer records, identify unresolved service issues, prepare follow-up communications and coordinate actions through specialized AI agents.

“The next era of enterprise AI isn’t about giving users more agents to manage,” Salesforce senior vice president for product management James Nakashima said in a press statement.

“It’s about giving them one Coworker that brings the right agents together to get work done. What makes this powerful for Salesforce customers is that Coworker starts with their business context, works within the security and permissions they already trust, and can be up and running in minutes. That’s how we make AI practical for every user,” he added.

Affordable monthly subscription

The expanded platform integrates with Microsoft Teams, allowing employees to delegate assignments without switching applications.

Connections with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 enable Coworker to incorporate emails, calendars and files alongside Salesforce customer records.

New capabilities include Conversation History, which preserves context across sessions, and Skills, which allows organizations to standardize frequently used workflows.

Salesforce also introduced a $50-per-user monthly subscription option to support broader enterprise deployment.

New features in December

Global workforce solutions provider The Adecco Group is expanding Coworker across 40 countries, using the platform to help employees access candidate histories and client information.

“The launch of Agentforce Coworker means our teams have access to a single interface that understands candidate history and client context precisely when human judgment matters most,” The Adecco Group CEO Denis Machuel said.

Salesforce expects to make Coworker available through Microsoft Teams and dedicated iOS, Mac and Windows applications in November 2026.
