This marks the start of operations for the deep-water terminal, which commenced in mid-October. The cargo, destined for Xinyi Glass’s new factory in Gresik, highlights the terminal’s role in supporting key industries in the region.
EJMT is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including the largest mobile harbor cranes in East Java, and boasts advanced bulk handling equipment. Strategically located near Surabaya, the terminal is set to become a critical gateway for East Java, connecting domestic and international markets efficiently.
“We would like to extend our gratitude to Xinyi Glass and their management for entrusting EJMT to handle their first vessel call in Indonesia,” Patrick Chan, CEO of EJMT, said in a statement.
“We have successfully handled our first container call alongside multiple project vessels. This demonstrates our capability as a fully multipurpose terminal that can accommodate all types of cargo. We are ready to support East Java,” he added.
