Philippines, Cambodia forge stronger digital ties in global workshop

The Philippines and Cambodia strengthened their partnership in digital transformation during the “Government Digitalization Cooperation” workshop held on Dec. 7-12 , 2024. 

Organized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and Cambodia’s Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, the event brought together digital leaders from nations like South Korea, Estonia, and Malaysia. 

A highlight was the signing of an Act of Solidarity between Information and Communications Technology Secretary Ivan John Uy and Cambodian Minister Chea Vandeth, setting the stage for improved digital infrastructure and capacity-building programs.  

 “This partnership reflects our mutual dedication to driving governance innovation and ensuring that technology serves as a tool for progress, inclusivity, and empowerment,” Uy said in a statement.
