Insider Spotlight
The annual festival provided the company an opportunity to highlight its longstanding connection with Palawan, where it started with a single branch in Puerto Princesa.
Today, its operations span the country, but the company said its identity remains closely tied to the province that shaped its early years.
Why it matters
The homecoming reinforces Palawan Group's brand identity at a time when financial institutions are expanding digital services while seeking to maintain strong community ties.
The company continues to position its provincial roots as a key part of its growth story.
During the festival, the company joined the Parada ng mga Palaweño and the Float Parade alongside communities across the province.
It also operated an interactive booth featuring games, prizes, giveaways, and information on services including Palawan Pawnshop, Palawan Express Pera Padala, Palawan Gold, and PalawanPay.
“Palawan is not only where our business began. It is where we learned the value of trust, resilience, and service to the community. The support of Palaweños has shaped who we are today, and we remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside the province that we proudly call home,” Palawan Group of Companies president and CEO Karlo M. Castro said in a press statement.
The bigger picture
While the company now serves customers nationwide through its expanding branch network and digital platforms, it said its mission continues to be guided by the values developed in Palawan.
The company said it remains focused on advancing financial inclusion and providing accessible financial services for Filipinos.
As part of its Baragatan participation, Palawan Group also presented special awards to the winners of Mutya ng Palawan 2026, including PalawanPay credits, ProtekTODO microinsurance, and a 1-gram Palawan Gold coin for the grand winner, underscoring its continuing support for the province where its business journey began. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S.
