Banking veteran Walter C. Wassmer has stepped down as non-executive director of BDO Unibank Inc. following his appointment to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Monetary Board.
In a stock exchange filing on Monday, the Sy-led banking giant acknowledged his resignation and has yet to announce his successor.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. appointed Wassmer to fill the vacancies left by V. Bruce Tolentino and Anita Linda Aquino, who resigned on June 30.
The President has not yet named a replacement for the remaining seat on the Monetary Board.
