Newly appointed Monetary Board member and banking veteran Walter C. Wassmer resigned from the Lopez family’s conglomerate First Philippine Holdings.
“Please be advised that we were informed today of the resignation of Mr. Walter C. Wassmer as senior board adviser of First Philippine Holdings Corporation, due to his appointment to the Monetary Board,” the family holding company disclosed.
Wassmer was chosen to fill a recent vacancy on the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' Monetary Board, but President Marcos has yet to name a replacement for the remaining seat.
