  • The Social Security System (SSS) and RCBC DiskarTech have teamed up to launch the MySSS Card, an all-in-one debit and SSS benefits card
  • The card enables cashless transactions, quick withdrawals, and rewards while providing direct access to SSS services
  • Applicants must be PhilSys-registered, update SSS contact details, and have no existing UMID ATM/Pay Card or DiskarTech account

The Social Security System and Rizal Commercial Banking Corp.’s digital arm, RCBC DiskarTech, have introduced the MySSS Card, designed to simplify how Filipinos manage their government benefits and daily financial transactions.

The partnership aims to merge public service with private-sector innovation, giving members a convenient way to access SSS services while enjoying a suite of banking features.

How it works

To get the card, members must log in to the MySSS portal, select RCBC DiskarTech as their participating financial institution, and agree to the data-sharing terms.

After receiving a transaction number, users download the RCBC DiskarTech app, register as an “SSS Member,” and provide their transaction number, mobile number, one-time password, and government ID for eKYC verification. Once approved, they can request the physical card through the app.

Perks for cardholders

While waiting for the card, members can already enjoy DiskarTech features such as a rewarding savings product, affordable insurance, and cardless withdrawals.

The MySSS Card doubles as an MRT-3 and LRT 1 & 2 tap card, supports QRPH-powered shopping, and charges only an P8 InstaPay transfer fee to other banks. Soon, loan products will also be integrated.

Eligibility

Applicants must be 18 or older, registered with PhilSys, have updated their SSS contact details, and be Filipino citizens with no US citizenship or residency. They must also have no active DiskarTech account and no existing UMID ATM/Pay Card.

This innovative partnership brings SSS benefits and digital banking into a single card, reinforcing RCBC DiskarTech’s vision of making financial services more accessible and rewarding for the everyday Filipino. —Ed: Vanessa Hidalgo
