MPTC bags global honors for child road safety, corporate governance drive

Expressway giant Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC) earned global recognition at the 10th Annual Global Good Governance Awards, hosted by Cambridge International Finance Advisory in Brunei. The honors spotlight MPTC’s twin focus on child road safety and ethical corporate leadership.

Huge impact

Launched in 2021, the program has improved safety for over 20,000 children across 196 schools through school zone upgrades, road safety education, and policy advocacy.

The company also received the 3G Excellence Award for Advocacy and Commitment to Corporate Governance 2025 for its My CG App.

Developed in-house, this web-based tool simplifies governance disclosures, promotes ethical leadership, and has processed more than 3,500 governance-related reports since 2021.

MPTC’s sustainability roadmap aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, guiding efforts to decarbonize, boost resilience, and minimize environmental and social disruption.
