CEBU CITY — For years, heart patients from the Visayas and Mindanao faced a difficult choice: travel to Manila —or even overseas— for advanced treatment, or settle for limited options closer to home. Now, they no longer have to leave the region.
The University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) is planning to expand its Sports Medicine and Wellness Center in New Clark City into a 200-bed hospital, alongside the development of a dedicated sports medicine facility within its two-hectare site.
