  • South Palms Resort & Spa Panglao–MGallery Collection deploys a unified Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise networking solution
  • Hybrid POL and WLAN infrastructure strengthens operational efficiency and guest connectivity
  • Scalable, resilient, future-ready digital backbone supports long-term hospitality excellence

South Palms Resort & Spa Panglao – MGallery Collection has adopted a full Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) networking solution to create a scalable, efficient and future-ready digital foundation designed to elevate both operational excellence and the guest experience.

The resort, which opened in August 2025 on a six-hectare beachfront in Panglao, selected ALE to support its vision of delivering seamless, high-quality digital services across its 188-room luxury property.

Why it matters

South Palms Panglao needed a robust, resort-wide network capable of sustaining high data demand across diverse environments—from indoor facilities to pools, gardens and beachfront spaces—without compromising speed, reliability or security.

ALE delivered a single-brand, turnkey network ecosystem that enables consistent, high-performance connectivity for guest services and back-of-house operations.

The big picture

Working closely with the property owner, partner NERA and technology consultant Pertlink, ALE deployed a Hybrid Passive Optical LAN (HPOL) combined with OmniSwitch 6360 switches and OmniAccess Stellar Access Points.

This setup ensures high-speed, resilient coverage in both controlled and harsh outdoor conditions, backed by management tools that simplify network oversight and scalability.

What they’re saying

“To meet the scale and luxury demands of South Palms Panglao MGallery, we knew the solution had to be more than just technology—it had to be a unified ecosystem,” Dirk Dumortier, director of strategic partnership, APAC, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, said in a press release on Nov. 27, 2025.

“Working closely with our trusted partner and the strategic guidance of consultant Pertlink, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise delivered a future-ready, single-brand Hybrid POL/WLAN infrastructure that guarantees both a seamless guest experience and long-term TCO reduction. Partnership was the true foundation of this digital transformation.” Dumortier added.

“From the very start, the project’s horizontal layout made it clear that HPOL was the optimal solution. After extensive due diligence, we identified ALE as the ideal technology partner—not only for their robust solutions but also for their exceptional pre- and post-sales support,” said Terence Ronson, founder and managing director of Pertlink

“Together with their delivery partner NERA, ALE demonstrated a seamless, professional approach throughout the entire process. Combined with ALE’s Wi-Fi infrastructure, we’ve created an outstanding, connected guest experience.” said Ronson.
