The event, held on Aug. 5–6 at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City, gathered business partners, suppliers, affiliates, and international allies for a recognition night themed around trust, heritage, and innovation.
Partners at the core
Executives recognized partners who embodied the brand’s values of reliability and trustworthiness. Loyalty, Growth Driver, and Breakthrough Sales awards were among those given.
Chief business development officer Lisa Castro-Sabado spotlighted the rebranding of the firm’s B2B arm as Palawan for Business, noting it has partnered with more than 1,700 institutions in just three years. “At B2B, we serve not just as a channel but a catalyst,” she said.
Suppliers and global allies honored
Chief operations officer Roberto Ben “Bobbit” Castro underscored the role of suppliers, remarking: “Hindi po namin maaabot ang tagumpay na ito kung wala ang inyong suporta at pakikiisa (We would not have achieved this success without your support and solidarity)”.
The International Partners Summit further highlighted Palawan’s global reach, with vice chair and CFO Lilian Castro-Selda praising remittance allies: “Your collaboration has been instrumental to our growth … Your work makes the distance feel shorter.”
Looking ahead
President and CEO Karlo M. Castro introduced forward-looking initiatives, including Pera Padala Abroad, Project Voyager, and VISA Direct.
“Innovation is our constant,” he said. “These are bold steps we take with you—our partners—because true success is shared”.
Founders Bobby and Angelita Castro closed the event with reflections on Palawan’s four-decade journey, likening its maturity to that of a 40-year-old individual—tested, resilient, and poised for greater impact. —Vanessa Hidalgo
