DOF ‘green lane’ fast tracks two Razon green power projects

The Department of Finance has expedited approvals for two significant green power projects owned by Enrique Razon's Prime Infrastructure Capital Inc. in Luzon, marking a leap towards the Philippines' clean energy transition.

Awarded Green Lane status, the Pakil Pumped Storage Power Project in Laguna and the Wawa Pumped Storage Power Project in Rizal are poised to enhance the nation's power supply reliability and contribute to its climate goals.

Finance Secretary Ralph G. Recto praised the initiatives for aligning with sustainability priorities, spotlighting the government's drive to attract renewable energy investments.

Set to operate by 2030, these projects underline the Philippines' ambition to significantly boost its renewable energy mix, supporting broader economic prosperity and environmental stewardship.
