The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has reaffirmed its commitment to support Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) by ensuring reliable electric services for RLC’s developments.

Recently, key officials presented a comprehensive plan to meet the power needs of existing and future projects, including Sierra Valley in Rizal and The Jewel in Mandaluyong City, both set for 2026.

"We are excited to partner with Meralco to promote sustainable development," said Lance Y. Gokongwei, RLC president and CEO, adding that the partnership will enable energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and economically viable solutions.

Over the past five years, the partnership has advanced operational efficiencies and sustainability initiatives. These include solar installations and electric vehicle charging stations in several Robinsons Malls.RLC is also part of the government’s Interruptible Load Program, under which 10 Robinsons Malls in the Meralco franchise area take part in demand-side management when power supply situation in Luzon is insufficient. Through this, RLC — which has a total de-loading capacity of 31 MW — helps spare households and small businesses from unplanned power interruptions.

Meralco senior vice president Ferdinand Geluz emphasized the importance of world-class energy solutions and strategic alignment for shared success. Meralco executive vice president Ronnie Aperocho highlighted the utility's role in supporting national growth through exceptional service and infrastructure development.
