At its Innovation Day 2026 event in Bonifacio Global City, the lighting company gathered industry leaders, sustainability advocates, media representatives, customers, channel partners, and specification professionals to discuss how circular economy principles can help businesses reduce waste, optimize resources, and create long-term value.
The event showcased Signify’s circularity framework, “Use Less, Use Longer, Use Again,” which guides the company’s approach to sustainable innovation across product design, manufacturing, installation, maintenance, upgrades, and end-of-life management.
Why it matters
Signify said circular economy practices can help organizations improve efficiency, lower operating costs, and strengthen resilience while advancing sustainability goals.
The event also explored global trends, including the adoption of Science-Based Targets initiative standards, greater focus on Scope 3 emissions reporting, and demand for solutions that deliver both environmental and economic benefits.
The big picture
“The Future of Lighting: Accelerating Circularity and Asset Performance with AI” examined how artificial intelligence and connected technologies can help organizations improve building performance, extend asset lifecycles, and support sustainability objectives.
During the main plenary session, Signify presented circular-ready lighting products, upgrade kits, spare-parts programs, and service-based business models designed to maximize the value of lighting investments while reducing environmental impact.
“The transition to a circular economy presents one of the greatest opportunities for businesses today,” Signify Philippines commercial leader for professional business Redin Aliling said in a press release.
“Organizations are increasingly looking for ways to reduce resource consumption, extend asset lifecycles, and achieve their sustainability goals without compromising performance. Through innovation, connected technologies, and circular design principles, Signify is helping customers transform sustainability challenges into measurable business value while contributing to a more sustainable future,” Aliling added.
