The award, hosted by Informa Tech, recognizes Globe's excellence in maintaining an exceptionally stable and reliable 5G network across the Philippines.
Globe's 5G network outdoor coverage now reaches 98.45 percent in the National Capital Region and over 94 percent in key cities in the Visayas and Mindanao, as of June 2024.
This achievement is attributed to the company's relentless investment in advanced 5G technology, including its deployment of End-to-End Network Slicing Function of 5G Standalone (SA)—the most advanced 5G technology to date.
“This recognition affirms our efforts to invest in 5G technology and make it more accessible to our customers. 5G holds great promise as digital adoption in the Philippines continues to accelerate, and our goal is to have our network ready for when the market is ready to fully utilize the benefits of 5G,” said Joel Agustin, Globe head of service planning and engineering.
Globe’s resilient network architecture, designed to withstand natural disasters and other challenges, further enhances its reputation as a reliable telecommunications provider. The company continues to push the boundaries of innovation to ensure unparalleled service quality and network stability.
The award was announced during the 5G Core Summit held in Dubai on Sept. 10 and 11.
