Nickel Asia Corporation (NAC) has appointed Jose Isidro N. Camacho as its new chairman, following the retirement of Gerard Brimo after more than 15 years of service.

Camacho, a notable figure in both Philippine and international business circles, brings extensive experience to his new role, the company said in a statement.

He currently serves as chairman of SunLife Canada (Philippines) and the University of Arts Singapore, and has held senior positions at Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, and Bankers Trust.

His extensive background includes roles as the Philippines’ Secretaries of Energy and Finance during the administration of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Camacho's appointment is expected to bolster NAC's strategic direction, the firm said.
