The Soberano family’s Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) is spending P120 million to build the Manresa Access Road in Cagayan de Oro City, a two-kilometer project linking the city’s uptown district to the city center.

CLI and Xavier University (XU) marked the project with a concrete pouring ceremony on Jan. 23, with the road set for completion in the fourth quarter or 2027.

Route and scope

The 10-meter-wide road will directly link Masterson Avenue to Balulang Road, improving access to the city center via the Macasandig Bridge and easing congestion along key routes.

“Manresa Town is built to shape the future of Uptown CDO. By creating a sustainable, connected, and vibrant community for students, educators, and residents, it supports Cagayan de Oro City’s growth and enhances the quality of life for everyone who lives and works here,” said CLI Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jose Soberano III.

Township pipeline

The road is tied to Manresa Town, CLI’s 14.6-hectare university township beside Xavier University’s Masterson Campus, where the developer is rolling out residential and mixed-use projects.

CLI said its first residential project in the township, One Manresa Place, generated P4 billion in sales in its first two days and is now 99 percent sold.

CLI currently has more than 130 projects across 18 key cities in Visayas and Mindanao and said it will soon launch its first project in Luzon.
