This strategic support enables Mober to scale its eco-friendly delivery operations and strengthen the country’s growing green mobility ecosystem.
“BDO supports our fleet expansion, allowing us to take a significant step toward building a more sustainable logistics industry,” Dennis Ng, CEO of Mober, said in a statement.
The move is part of BDO’s broader commitment to help businesses transition toward low-carbon operations by supporting electric mobility and environmental innovation.
“We are dedicated to the advancement of sustainable business practices,” said Charles M. Rodriguez, EVP and head of BDO’s institutional banking group. “By supporting initiatives like green logistics, we contribute to building a cleaner, more resilient economy.”
The bank’s financing aligns with its mission to back renewable energy and green infrastructure projects. It also affirms BDO’s role in enabling innovative companies like Mober to reduce their carbon footprint and accelerate the transition to sustainable transport.
Mober recently opened Central Charge, the largest commercial EV charging hub in the Philippines, located in Pasay City.
Covering 3,000 square meters with a 56-port capacity, the facility supports up to 200 EV trucks daily through a three-shift system—powering efficient, all-day delivery for clients such as IKEA, SM Appliances, Nestlé Philippines, and Maersk.
With this partnership, BDO continues to be a catalyst for environmental progress in the financial sector, inspiring other institutions and companies to invest in sustainable solutions that fuel inclusive, eco-conscious growth. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
