ASUS is emphasizing warranty coverage and after-sales service as key differentiators in the competitive PC market, reflecting a broader shift toward total ownership value as students and professionals prepare for the new school year. 

The strategy comes as consumers increasingly weigh device protection and support alongside hardware specifications when making purchase decisions.

The company is rolling out its ASUS No. 1 Quality, School-Ready Deals campaign until Sept. 15, offering promotional bundles across ASUS and ROG products through authorized retailers, concept stores, and select mall activations nationwide.

The back-to-school season remains one of the biggest sales periods for personal computers, prompting brands to compete not only on product performance but also on warranties, bundled accessories, and promotional incentives that can lower the overall cost of ownership.

The details

Until Aug. 31, customers purchasing participating ASUS and ROG devices from official stores and authorized retailers can receive a free one-year extension of Local Accidental Damage Protection through ASUS Perfect Warranty Plus, subject to promo registration. Eligible devices can receive up to two years of accidental damage protection.

Shoppers buying participating Zenbook and Vivobook laptops at ASUS and ROG Concept Stores through Aug. 31 will also receive a free ASUS Marshmallow Mouse MD100. Meanwhile, purchases of eligible devices through Sept. 15 qualify for discounts of up to P1,000 on selected ASUS Workspace Accessories and ROG Gaming Gear.

Between the lines

ASUS is pairing retail promotions with experiential marketing. Beginning Aug. 14, pop-up booths at select SM Cyberzone malls will offer up to P5,000 in GCash cashback on selected purchases, raffle opportunities, and exclusive merchandise. The company also plans campus visits at select universities as part of its back-to-school activities.
