This growth is driven by expanded routes, enhanced facilities, and improved interconnectivity, with passenger traffic surging 31.7 percent in 2024 to 51.56 million.
The terminal, controlled by Saavedra-led Megawide Construction Corp., now services over 105 bus routes, integrating city and provincial transport with modern mobility options such as transport network vehicle services (TNVS) and point-to-point (P2P) buses.
Management’s view
"The consistent rise in daily foot traffic since our opening in 2018 highlights the increasing reliance of commuters on PITX as a safe, seamless, and convenient transport hub. We take this as a responsibility to continuously innovate and expand our services to meet growing demand," said Atty. Jaime Raphael Feliciano, president of PITX.
What’s next?
In 2024, PITX introduced six new routes in Luzon and two in the Visayas, strengthening its nationwide reach. The Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) PITX (Asia World) Station, which opened in late 2024, now contributes 20,000 daily passengers, enhancing interconnectivity across Metro Manila.
With the upcoming Cavite Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) System, PITX is positioned to play a larger role in reducing congestion and improving mass transit efficiency.
