Holding firms led the charge with a 4.09 percent increase, followed by the property sector, which jumped 4.81 percent.
The broader All Shares Index also performed well, rising by 2.18 percent or 78.73 points to 3,696.66.
Total gains across the last three sessions exceeded 7 percent. Overseas investors also propped up the market with net foreign buying of P324.94 million, data from the stock exchange showed.
Top movers included SM Prime Holdings (+7.22 percent to P26), International Container Terminal Services (+3 percent), BDO Unibank Inc. (+1.73 percent to P147), Ayala Land Inc. (+5.28 percent to P25.90), and China Banking Corp. (-2.17 percent to P90).
