Why it matters

The initiative highlights how insurers are using community events to raise awareness of affordable protection products while aligning their brands with social impact and wellness initiatives.

Beyond insurance coverage, Palawan ProtekTODO introduced its "Resibo sa Pagtakbo" activation, inspired by digital running records. Participants who completed the 1K, 3K, 5K, or 10K categories received personalized receipt-themed keepsakes as tangible reminders of their race-day achievements and support for community causes.

The booth also featured information on Palawan ProtekTODO's affordable insurance products, aimed at making insurance easier to understand and more accessible for everyday Filipinos.

The bigger picture

PPSIA said the complimentary insurance coverage was underwritten by Oona Insurance, extending protection to all registered runners throughout the event.

Together with the Palawan Group of Companies, PPSIA also provided cash sponsorships that will help fund Angat Buhay's network of nonprofit partners, including Kythe Foundation, Kusina ng Pag-asa, World Vision Philippines, LoveYourself, Team Pinas, TAYO Awards Foundation, and Waves for Water Philippines.

“Through our activation, we wanted to celebrate every Filipino who chooses to show up not only for themselves but also for the communities they continue to uplift. After all, every meaningful step deserves to be remembered, and every journey deserves protection,” she added.
