Lazada has denied reports of a data breach involving the personal information of 18 million customers.

In response to report by cybersecurity researcher Infosecdad, a Lazada spokesperson stated, "Lazada is committed to providing a safe and trusted ecosystem for consumers, brands, and sellers, and data security is of our highest priority.

“Upon close review, we have determined that the information shared in the post (by account name: Infosecdad) is completely false, and we have found no matches in our customer database,” the company said in an emailed statement to InsiderPH.

Earlier today, Infosecdad reported that personal information from Lazada Philippines was being sold on a Chinese hacking forum.

Despite these allegations, Lazada’s internal probe found no evidence supporting the claims.
